Mrs. Gloria Kanabe joined WIMA Nigeria in 2015, she holds a law degree in addition to a Diploma in Business Management from the University of Lagos. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2004. She joined Maersk Nigeria Limited in 1988, between which time and 2010, she worked across all the key units of the organisation including export documentation, import documentation, claims , insurance, and cargo survey (dry and refrigerated). With all twenty-two years experience dealing with marine cargo claims and interface, she is at home with the procedures relating to making and defending cargo claims, and has hands-on understanding of the market dynamics, shipping company behaviour and recurring legal issues. She has trained extensively and facilitated training across the world including in Copenhagen, Cape Town and the United Kingdom.
